Anita has a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) from UTS and a Bachelor of Laws from UNSW.  Whilst completing her law degree, Anita worked as a Clerk/Paralegal in a busy suburban practice in Balmain, assisting the Principal and employed Solicitors– preparing briefs, completing Victims Compensation Tribunal applications, and preparing affidavits, Statements of Claim, Notices of Grounds of defence and submissions, etc. in a variety of commercial and criminal matters.

After completing her degree, she worked – for a short time – for a Queens Counsel practising in criminal law and from 1997 to 2001 worked as an Associate to the Hon. Justice David Levine in the Supreme Court of NSW.

Anita has worked as a Legal Costs Consultant for DGT Costs Lawyers since 2001 – with a few intervening sabbaticals – and assisted Kerrie Rosati and Toni Mossman preparing files in the HMAS Voyager litigation.

Anita has experience preparing Bills of Costs, Notices of Objections and Responses under the successive Legal Profession Acts and has prepared costs application in the ACT, Federal Court (including class action), Family Court and Northern Territory Supreme Court.
